Buying and using Meridian
Who you are buying from
Meridian is a product of CraftAtom Technologies (craftatom.com), which publishes the app and licenses it to you.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record, who handle the transaction and any sales tax due where you are.
The licence
A purchase grants a perpetual licence for 1 user, 3 machines, personal and commercial use. Deactivate a device inside the app to free a seat for another machine.
How your licence key reaches you
Meridian is a download, so there is nothing to ship. Your licence key is emailed to the address you gave at checkout as soon as the payment completes, usually within a minute. Enter it in the app to activate.
If it has not arrived after five minutes, check your spam or junk folder first, because automated mail lands there sometimes. If it is not there either, write to support@gitmeridian.com and we will resend it. You can also have it resent from the licence screen in the app, under "Lost your key?", which emails the key to the address that bought it.
The trial is the evaluation
The download is a 14-day free trial, extendable to 30 days with your email. The trial is the full app, not a reduced one. Up to 30 days exist so you can evaluate Meridian on your own repositories before paying. Buy when the trial has convinced you.
Refunds
The trial is there so you can decide before you pay, and we would rather you used it than bought on faith. If something has gone wrong anyway (a duplicate purchase, a billing error, the app not running on a supported Mac) write to support@gitmeridian.com and we will put it right.
Updates
Your purchase includes 12 months of updates, then keep what you have. The app never stops working when the update window ends; renewing is optional.
Licence validation needs a connection
Activating a licence and extending the trial require an internet connection, and the app checks in with our licensing server occasionally, about once a month, to confirm your licence and its device seats. Day-to-day git work is local; it needs no connection beyond what your own remotes require.
Your repositories, your commands
Meridian runs real git operations on your repositories. You choose what to run, and the outcomes are yours, including lost work from a destructive action such as a discard, a reset or a force push. Keep backups and remotes as you would with any git tool. We are not responsible for loss of data, work or profits arising from use of the app.
No warranty
Meridian is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.
Changes
These terms may change; this page always shows the current version.
Privacy
What we store, and what never leaves your machine, is set out on the privacy page.
